Clearaudio Performance DC vinyl record review and description

The Clearaudio Performance DC vinyl record player is equipped with a precision DC motor with a precise speed control. The bearing disk of the turntable, driven by a passic transmission, is made of high-quality polyoxymethylene polymer (POM) and has excellent antiresonant characteristics. In addition, this material has a very high uniformity, which guarantees a minimum level of parasitic vibrations at any speed of rotation. The support disk has a thickness of 40 mm and is machined with high precision on a CNC machine. Clearaudio Performance DC has all three standard disc rotation speeds - 33 1/3, 45 and 78 revolutions per minute.
The Clearaudio Performance DC chassis has a multi-layered structure made from a central wooden slab and two aluminum panels, fastened under high pressure from above and below. The engine is mounted on the chassis in such a way as to ensure complete mechanical isolation with the rest of the turntable design. The thrust bearing is a ceramic ball placed in a bronze tumbler with a magnetic suspension.
In this configuration, the player comes without a tonearm and cartridge, so you can choose the option that best suits your needs. The manufacturer recommends choosing the tonearm with a Clearaudio (CMB) ceramic magnetic bearing, such as Magnify or Verify.
