Review and description of AV-receiver Onkyo TX-RZ900

The new 7.2-channel Onkyo TX-RZ900 model is THX Select2 Plus certified, works with UltraHD (4K, 50/60 Hz) resolution and uses HDCP 2.2 technology to view 4K protected video. The device involves a manually wound toroidal transformer, audiophile capacitors and high-current discrete amplifiers, which allow reaching the lower limit of the frequency response of 5 Hz.
The AV receiver is equipped with 32-bit DSP, supports Dolby Atmos up to 5.1.2-channel configuration, as well as the DTS: X format, which allows the use of additional ceiling speakers. AccuEQ system is used for auto calibration. In each channel, Onkyo TX-RZ900 is set to an AK4458 DAC (32 bit/384 kHz), and VLSC technology is used to eliminate noise caused by clock pulses.
For "fronts", a parallel push-pull amplification circuit is used, which increases the power of the bass. Each channel has a 3-stage inverted circuit with Darlington transistors. WRAT technology is used, which prevents the phase shift, improves the sound and allows you to work even with capricious speakers. The model delivers 200 watts per channel (6 ohms).

The device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay and can play DSD (5.6 MHz), FLAC (24 bit/192 kHz) and other audio formats that are stored on computers and servers on the local network. TuneIn Radio, Spotify and Deezer online services are available. There is an AM/FM tuner.
The AV receiver has received a new laconic design. The center of its aluminum facade is occupied by a display, under which is a lid hiding the controls, a 6.3 mm headphone jack, an HDMI port and an input for a calibration microphone. On the right side there is a volume knob, as well as buttons for selecting sources and for controlling zones 2 and 3. On the left is the power/standby button, an activator of “pure stereo” modes, buttons and knobs for selecting sound modes and setting timbres.
The model has wide switching capabilities. Rear panel inputs: 7 HDMI ports (with 4K support), MM-phono preamp input, 2 coaxial/3 optical, USB, Ethernet port, etc. Outputs: 2 x HDMI (one for zone 2), 7.2-channel (RCA ), two RCA for additional zones and others. There are 11 pairs of screw terminals, two of which can be used for zones 2 and 3. You can control the receiver through the remote control or application for devices with Android and iOS.
Model Onkyo TX-RZ900 meets all modern requirements in terms of functionality and provides a rich, powerful, dynamic sound in the movie, as well as accurate, musical and natural sound presentation in stereo mode.
