Overview and description of the AV-receiver Onkyo TX-NR676

7.2-channel model Onkyo TX-NR676 is equipped with a high-current power transformer. Its high-current discrete amplifiers with dynamic amplification system and phase-avoiding technology provide minimum distortion, excellent transient characteristics and do not fold even in front of low-resistance overalls.
The AV-receiver supports modern DTS: X and Dolby Atmos formats (up to 5.2.2 channels), and DTS Neural: X and Dolby Surround codecs are used to convert the sound of standard multi-channel formats into an object-oriented 3D sound. As a converter, the modern DAC AK4458 is used. The VLSC technology helps to clear the signal from impulse noise after conversion. Autocalibration of speakers is handled by AccuEQ system, while AccuReflex technology provides phase compatibility of loudspeakers for Dolby Atmos with other speakers.
Onkyo TX-NR676 has Bluetooth, AirPlay and Wi-Fi circuits with two bands. After the software update, access to the integrated Chromecast platform for wireless streaming audio streaming is available, as well as to DTS Play-Fi, a wireless protocol for transferring music using the application to speakers supporting this protocol and other components. Built-in receiver technology FireConnect is great for wireless multiroom installation and makes it possible to send audio in high quality from any source to any room where the technology supporting the technology is located. The Onkyo Controller application allows you to group such columns, for example, to play a specific track in each group, and can control music playback throughout the house.
The connection to the LAN is via LAN or WLAN. With this network and through USB playback Hi-Res formats are available, including DSD up to 5.6 MHz (DSD is not supported for WLAN connection). There is built-in support for Internet services TuneIn, TIDAL, Spotify, Deezer and Pandora.
On the back panel of the case there are six HDMI inputs with the ability to pass a signal in 4K-resolution (60 Hz), supporting the BT.2020 standard and the HDCP 2.2 protocol. These inputs also accept HDR10 and Dolby Vision (HDR version with dynamic metadata and 12-bit color depth). On the front there is one more HDMI-input that does not support HDR10, Dolby Vision and BT.2020. There is a pair of HDMI-outlets, LAN port, a set of digital inputs, connectors for MM-phono stage and a pair of subwoofers. You can connect the speakers to the receiver using nine pairs of screw terminals.
