Description AV-receiver Onkyo TX-NR5010

The new flagship Onkyo TX-NR5010 has received THX Ultra2 Plus certification, guaranteeing a high class surround sound.


Model has heavy anti-resonant chassis with separate aluminum side panels. The upper part of the façade is the display. Right to adjoin the volume knob on the left – mode button Pure Audio and power. Selection key inputs are lower. The rest of the controls hidden under a lid. There is also a headphone out, USB (compatible with iPod/iPhone), HDMI (with MHL for HD content smartphones) and standard AV connectors. Has optical input and mini-Jack configuration microphone.


To calibrate the speakers to a Onkyo TX-NR5010 is applied Audyssey MultEQ XT32 running with decoders DTS Neo: X, Audyssey DSX, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, which uses additional channels. Video processors is handled by the HQV Vida VHD 1900. Available upscaled to 1080p, and the circuit with the Marvel Qdeo scaling technology, Full HD up to 4K. Receiver Onkyo TX-NR5010 is connected to the local network via the LAN port (Protocol DLNA). Play audio with PC, and Internet connection – the content of network services and web radio. Optional Wi-Fi adapter UWF-1 and the Bluetooth adapter UBT-1. The Cisco Linksys SimpleTap technology provides a more convenient integration into the network, organizes the work with the web services and helps monitor connected to the receiver device.


Used in the power supply massive toroidal transformer and two separate transformers for separated from each other audio and video circuits. The preamplifier section and discrete amplifiers are separated. Applied three-stage scheme on an inverted darlingtons transistors and purification technology jitter PLL.


The rear panel inputs: 8 HDMI (support 3D video), 2 component, 4 composite, 6 linear input MM Phono stage, 3 coaxial, 3 optical. Outputs: 2 HDMI (one with ARC and one for zone 2), component, 2 composite (one for zone 2), 11.4-outs, 2 line (zone 2 and 3). There are network port, USB port, trigger connectors, jacks for the IR repeater, the interfaces PC IN, RS-232, mini-Jack RI, socket AM/FM antennas and the grounding terminal. For acoustics there are 11 pairs of gold plated binding posts.
