Semianiline AV receiver Cambridge Audio CXR 120 is made on the basis of the same ideology as the audio components of this series – with exceptional attention to all elements of design, responsible for sound quality. The device is manufactured in a metal case considerable height, which allowed freely to place all of his schemes and to ensure good heat dissipation. The AV receiver has an anti-resonant chassis, and its front panel is made of sheet aluminum of significant thickness. It contains a large display which consists of a few small buttons and a volume knob and connectors. The latter is represented by a headphone output, inputs mini-jack for portable music players (to the same socket and connect the microphone for auto calibration surround sound) and HDMI with MHL support. In the power supply of the AV receiver Cambridge Audio CXR 120 a massive toroidal transformer and filter capacitors have a significant total power. The device is equipped with surround sound decoders HD and conventional formats has a direct signal bypassing the auxiliary circuits. In addition to the connectors on the front panel, CXR 120 is equipped with seven HDMI inputs and two outputs (one of which supports signal transmission mode of the return channel). Over the network (as with USB) this unit plays lossless files, ALAC, WAV, FLAC files with parameters up to 24 bit / 192 kHz and the digital-to-analog Converter based on Cirrus Logic CS42528 IC. It is also possible to receive Internet radio and support for Spotify.
