Description stereo amplifier, TEAC A-R650 MKII

Integrated amplifier TEAC A-R650 MKII has a classic design for devices of this class, and has the same familiar features. High on the front of the device are arranged in a row of five knobs control the main modes of operation: source selection, tone control for bass and treble, stereoballs and adjust the volume. The latter has a "professional" grooved ring, which displays the values of the level set signal. The selected input is indicated by led indicator. Volume control is equipped with electric, so the remote signal level changes do not affect the quality of the sound, as sometimes happens in circuits with digital control.

As not usual additions can be note the presence of adjustable inputs for microphone, that is sure to please fans of home concerts. The device has a switchable loudness improves sound quality at low volume and also a direct signal to bypass all of the subsidiary schemes.

To the amplifier you can connect six line sources, two recorders, and MM-pickup of the turntable. The preamplifier is built in a differential mode to reduce noise, and fully discrete output stages produce a significant current for matching the amplifier with any speaker. The power output of the TEAC A-R650 is MKII 2 x 120 W and the device is designed to work with the acoustics impedance of 4 to 16 Ohms. To the amplifier you can connect two pairs of speakers, which are selected using the buttons on the front panel.

Also the device is equipped with switched power outlet to connect a signal source or an auxiliary device, the input and outputs for external control systems. By connecting these jacks, for example CD-player TEAC, both devices will obey commands from one remote control. For more reliable cooling of the internal circuits TEAC A-R650 MKII has a low noise fan.
