Description stereo amplifier, Marantz PM-14S1 Special Edition

A modified and improved version of the Marantz amplifier PM-14S1 Special Edition is designed for those music lovers who are seriously into listening to music in new formats High-Resolution. The handset is available in two finishes (black and gold) and has a special anti-resonance housing design. Top panel thickness: 5 mm effectively dampens spurious vibrations, and damped supports provide the required mechanical isolation. Copper-plated chassis protects electronic circuits from electrical interference. The device is equipped with regulators stereoballs and timbre in the low and high frequencies. To control modes of the amplifier is designed cute round LCD display with low radiated noise.

In the amplifier circuit are also improved, and released custom components. Proprietary HDAM modules are installed in the circuits of the sound signal, the total number of schemes in the PM-14S1 SE is 24. This modules new versions of SA2 and SA3, the application of which will significantly expand the dynamic range of the sound and reduce the noise level to a minimum. The HDAM modules are working in advanced and terminal amplifier PM-14S1 SE, as well as in a separate circuit for the headphones output.

To ensure compatibility of the amplifier with the acoustics having different characteristic impedance, the output circuit of the device is made from discrete transistors, designed for a significant operating current. The amplifier of each channel is made on a separate Board with its own heatsink, which helped to improve the quality and volume of stereomerini.

In the power supply unit PM-14S1 SE has a toroidal transformer of increased capacity. The device develops across the load 8 Ohm power 90 watts and 140 watts with the resistance of acoustics of 4 Ohms. The amplifier has a built in phonocardiogram for MM/MC-cartridge of the turntable, two line inputs, two pairs of inputs/outputs for recording devices, the output from the preamplifier and the input terminal of the amplifier. With the latter, as well as another power amplifier speakers you can connect the scheme bi-amping, using a special switch on the rear panel.
