Description stereo amplifier, Hegel H80

Integrated stereo amplifier the Hegel H80 is able to become the center of professional audio systems and has a full set of advanced features. This amplifier includes several proprietary technologies, previously used in models of Hegel Reference series, which are now available at a very attractive price.

On the front panel of the device there are two knobs for input selection and volume control and seven-segment LEDs to display operating modes. The amplifier has output stages made by the patented SoundEngine circuit, cascades of preamplification of a signal derived from the Reference series models, and high-tech digital-to-analog Converter. The DAC in the amplifier is built according to the same scheme as that of the individual converters Hegel, has received many flattering reviews in the trade press. This device has five digital inputs support 24 bit/192 kHz signal conversion, one fully balanced input and two unbalanced analog inputs. One of them can be reconfigured to connect the amplifier to the surround processor, in case of its use in a home theater system. Hegel H80 also has a USB input and connect it to the PC to listen to music using the external sound card (playback of files with resolutions up to 24 bit/96 kHz). In this case, the regular remote control of the amplifier can be controlled by software player.

Hegel H80 develops output power 2 x 75 W into 8-Ohm loads and has a high damping factor (over 1000). The latter, due to the use of proprietary SoundEngine output stages, enables the amplifier to sound great, even with speaker systems that have complex characteristic impedance.

Hegel H80 has a neutral tonal balance and a very wide frequency range, so is quite versatile in regards to music of any genres.
