In the original line FMJ integrated amplifier Arcam FMJ A29 occupies the next higher position in relation to the younger model A19.
This unit embodies the achievements of the company throughout its 40-year history. The model uses selected elements of the premium, and in the output stage involves specially selected characteristics of the complementary pair of transistors. Mounted in the power supply toroidal transformer delivers greater power. Amplifier capable of delivering 80 watts per channel at a load of 8 Ohms and 175 watts at 4 Ohms. In the circuit used topology diagrams corresponding to the class G, which provides more efficient power distribution than the more traditional class AB. At optimum operation the harmonic distortion at the Arcam FMJ A29 does not exceed the rate at 0,003%.
Everything is assembled in a solid casing, which are of reliable damping. Center front panel is a single-line display with well readable characters and adjustable brightness, as well as large aluminium volume knob, mounted to the left of it and combined with a balance control. Below the display are eight buttons, allowing you to select the desired source. In the left part of the panel made the mute button, change the brightness/switch off the display and translation of the amp in balance mode. On the right side is a mini-Jack for headphone and 3.5 mm line input for MP3 player, power button/standby and LED status indicator.
At the rear of the Arcam FMJ A29 has a set of RCA line inputs and a MM input of a Phono stage which can be switched to line in mode. There is a pre out Pre Out and RCA output for recording. To update the firmware using the USB port, and for the supply of branded devices like the rBlink and models in a line of rSeries special 3.5 mm Jack (6 V, 500 mA). For connecting speaker systems are four screw terminals. To control the device by a universal remote CR902.
Amplifier Arcam FMJ A29 excellent controls even 4 Ohm speakers and provides accurate, most clean, detailed and natural sound with a well developed midrange and treble, and tight rhythmic bass.
